About Adam

Hello, I appreciate that you’re visiting this page.

I feel honored that you’ve taken the time to read more about me. While some of you might already know a few details about me, some of you might not – but reading this page should help.

How might some of you know me without realizing it?

Well, some of you may know me as a NSABBA provincial judge, or as the head judge for the NS competitions in 2016, or even as a NSABBA Executive Director when I was the treasurer of the association in 2016.

And, some of you may know me as a guest judge or statistician in your province if you live on the Atlantic Coast (New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland).

Or, some of you may know me as a CBBF national judge, or as a CBBF national statistician.

Then there are others of you who may know me from the years when I was a manager at GNC (General Nutrition Centers), or even a fitness coach and personal trainer at gyms throughout Nova Scotia.

And then there are those of you who knew me when I picked up my first weight and started natural bodybuilding over 26 years ago. And I continued to work out for 6 years until I entered my first of many competitions at the age of 20. At my first show I won the first of many trophies including the overall – and I was even honored at one contest to have been awarded the best poser once (it was very surreal).

You know, it’s funny, I’m not a person who likes to talk about himself a lot…and it has nothing to do with confidence or being shy, I’m just more interested in hearing what other people have to say instead. (I find other people very interesting – when they’re being real.)

You see, I’m what personality type descriptions would call an INFJ-T (an INFJ-T description can be found at https://www.16personalities.com/infj-personality – and I’ll share my personal profile with you also, which you can view here: https://www.16personalities.com/profiles/5d2ea9027fe54).

And an INFJ, also known as an Advocate personality, is “very rare, making up less than one percent of the population, but they nonetheless leave their mark on the world. As members of the Diplomat Role group, Advocates have an inborn sense of idealism and morality, but what sets them apart is that they are not idle dreamers, but people capable of taking concrete steps to realize their goals and make a lasting positive impact.

I find it’s hard to truly get to know someone over the internet, and I feel that this might help you to get a better understanding of who I really am (faults and all).

And, none of us are perfect – and I certainly don’t pretend to be. I do consciously try very hard to live in alignment with what I consider a genuine set of core values though (which you can see reflected in the core values of Masteries, shown here). While it might not always be the easiest choice to live by them, I try very hard to always use them in my decision making process, and to take action based on them, everyday.

You know, I was very honored that 16Personalities.com said that I share the same personality type with people that I have admired for a long time…people like Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandella, and Mother Teresa. Wow…just wow…. I think they were all amazing individuals who did a lot for people, and they are a really great group to be among.

They all felt a passionate drive to help others and that: “…helping others [w]as their purpose in life, but while people with this personality type can be found engaging rescue efforts and doing charity work, their real passion is to get to the heart of the issue so that people need not be rescued at all.” (Source: https://www.16personalities.com/infj-personality)

It’s my motivating purpose also 🙂

I hope that you’ll follow, connect, and work with me and the company I built, because just as Mr. King, Mr. Mandella and Mother Theresa did before me, I want to help you create experiences of peace, happiness, and fulfillment in your life – and that’s the reason why I was driven to create Masteries.

I hope to talk with you soon,
